Well, yesterday there was a kawall game of AGball. It came down to AG and Van Smack vs. Purcell, Alec, one of Purcell's friends and Fester. I would rather have not played against a chick because unlike the other three members of the team, we couldn't just mow her down. Anyways, if you're wondering who won, I'm pretty sure it was Two Brothers: One Destiny, but we weren't keeping score. I feel old. There was a time when all four of those kids wouldn't have been shit to me. Now mirking three at once takes effort. At least I had AG at my back. Oh, if you have something that you believe is better than sitting around the pool with brewskies and burgers I think you need to have your head checked. In response to those comments about galaxies; there are some some really mind-blowing pictures. One I actually think looks too cool to be real, but it is. I'll have to show them to you sometime. Oh, you know this one star VV cephei? It's the largest star that we know of, and if its centre was where our sun's centre is, it would almost reach Saturn. Now that is a tank. Okay, what else? Oh yeah, Simcoe, pull yourself together for a session sometime soon. AG's starting his own campaign for the substantial downtime we seem to accumulate. Plus, we still have a PH floating around, because Saint and I decided not to tear it apart. Damn, The Batman is almost on. That's a quality show, and I won't tolerate disrespect. Sunday is my only TV day, because it also has a new TPB. If you haven't been following them you've been missing out. I'm a big Joker fan now. Also, if you like The Rolling Stones (which I don't) and think Gimme Shelter is a good song, you should hear the cover by The Sisters of Mercy. It's much better. Hey, it looks like Alex is coming up for the Marillion concert in Montreal. Well, maybe. If you can pick up the song "Sensi love dat" off Kazaa, I suggest you do. It's so weird and yet so chill at the same time. In other music news, I've recently been reminded that Great Big Sea is actually chill, though I think it's supposed to be roughly a million times better if one has one's swerve on. Hopefully I'll find out sooner or later. Man, the hot weather really sucks. We've just been bombarded with scorchers. I won't lie; having a pool is pretty awesome. Probably even better than having a hottub in the winter! Haha! No, I'm sorry. If you can read this, you're invited to swim. Unless Dirty D somehow found my blog. I think I've found the biggest bit of hack work ever. It's this book in my basement with one hack who talks about pretty much everything in the universe. I think I have gained some paltry skill with words, but I can't explain how bad this book is. See, it's my Mom's, I think, and she has some hack beliefs. I'll throw open the book and explain something from it. Oh! Punctuation in nature! And an informative diagram of a wolf's jaw with an exclaimation mark beside it! Wow! It also seems that the butterfly is the afterlife of the caterpillar. A bit poetic, maybe, but the author intends this book to be filed under "science". Mom, who exactly are you trying to put one over on? Alright, does that count as an entry? I'll try to say something else soon too, okay? |
| Simcoe June 18, 2005 08:27 AM PDT Just to let you know I'm busy next weekend (Stacy's birthday) and I was busy this weekend cuz I have my 3rd interview at Wal Mart (in 3 consecutive days) in an hour and a half. | ||
| John June 15, 2005 06:30 PM PDT Wow, I suck at commenting. (Sorry.) Pic= http://img108.echo.cx/my.php?image=fuckinghuge2zn.jpg Thred= http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1585433 Cpy and paste. | ||
| Dana June 14, 2005 10:07 PM PDT i wasnt sure actually, i thought with that whole one bit part, like strong guy should be stronger than superman, just woondering, but didnt they once race around the world? i updated my blog actually, make sure it becomes a habit | ||
| VSmack June 13, 2005 10:52 PM PDT Yeah, Superman ain't shit. That's why he ain't here. If your only bit is being really fast, you get to be faster than a guy who has a million other almost as awesome bits. | ||
| Yggdrasil June 13, 2005 07:52 PM PDT I, personally, don't think so. Ignoring the crap where he flew around the world to turn back time (?) which was probably non-canon anyways, he's "faster than a speeding bullet". Plus, it's all the Flash has going for himself. He actually died by running at the speed of light and turning into energy. | ||
| Dana June 13, 2005 07:02 PM PDT superman could outrun the flash right? | ||
| jeremy June 13, 2005 12:51 PM PDT Running 109 times the speed of light is very fast. That's like 10,000% faster than the Flash could run. | ||
| Dana June 12, 2005 07:58 PM PDT flipped off | ||
| VSmack June 12, 2005 07:42 PM PDT And Purcell, you are nothing to me. | ||
| VSmack June 12, 2005 07:40 PM PDT Oh, don't ask me. Just take Alex's word for it. | ||
| Yggdrasil June 12, 2005 07:28 PM PDT This is a lot of conversion. if you can run at 20 km/h, then you would relatively be running at 73359409858 miles/h which is 109 times the speed of light? Did I do that right? Man, that's fast. Then again, that's not really what Jerm asked. :P | ||
| jeremy June 12, 2005 06:40 PM PDT Do some more math for me, at that scale, how many light years fast can you run? :) | ||
| Fester June 12, 2005 05:40 PM PDT Well shit dude, just plow into me next time. I'm fucking sore as hell today, but yesterday I didn't feel shit :) And AGball rules. | ||
| Yggdrasil June 12, 2005 01:13 PM PDT Also, I have to say that I like the hot weather. I mean, I'd prefer that perfect, neutral temperature around 24C, but I certainly don't mind it. Summer is hot and it's a hell of a lot better than winter which, like it or not (not) is cold. I'll give you a call about the trip soon. | ||
| Yggdrasil June 12, 2005 01:12 PM PDT There's another interesting comparison thing in a book I have which instructs you to scale the Sun down to a soccer ball, and the Earth to a peppercorn and Mercury to the head of a pin et al. and just take everything and walk the relative distances between the planets. You'll have covered over 1000 yards. And the next nearest star, Proxima Centuri would be about 4200 miles away. Cripes. | ||
